The vessels are capable of holding just under one million pints at a single time and were transported by police-escorted convoy through Dublin city centre.

This is the first of four deliveries which will take place throughout February and March, with a total of 27 new vessels due to be delivered.

The arrival of the vessels is part of the €153 expansion and re-development of the St James’ Gate Brewery. Construction of the project started in early summer 2012 and the new brewhouse will start producing beer in June 2013.
